Within the week of 1st İstanbul Architecture Festival there will be numerous events like AMV Young Architect Award granted for the first time, Europan Presentation Evening, Youth At Work "Charrette"s, a debate on "Being Young in Architecture", Arkimeet conference with Matthias Sauerbruch as the guest lecturer, "First Works of Masters-Last Works of Young Architects" lecture series, Architecture at Breakfast: Morning Debates, Architects Touring Their Own Buildings, various movie screenings, "Under Water Above Ground - Young Dutch Architecture" book launching, a meeting gathering architects and press together and finally a closing party which will also be the celebration of the fourth year of Arkitera Architecture Center.

Apart from all these activities, the Festival will also host exhibitions like AMV Young Architect Award Exhibition, Europan 7 Exhibition, Archiprix Turkey Exhibition, Awarded Projects Exhibition. There is also a section in the Festival where architects, academicians, artists and designers are invited to produce a special work for the Festival. The inter-disciplinary works include "Open Space", "Lightness of Heaviness", "Interface", "(Land)Fill İstanbul - Twelve Scenarios for a Global City", "The Wall", "Sightseeing İstanbul Tours #1 Platform 7", "Stacking", "Citations From Architectural Writings; 1903-2003", "Ograf's", "WTC 1999", "The Small Scientific Theatre Redux" by Marc Bretler, and the "Conference Studio" with Marc Bretler, Stalker (Peter Lang & Lorenzo Romito), Aydan Balamir, Günkut Akın as some of the lecturers.
